Mini - Macs Basketball

Term 1 - Term 2 - Term 3 - Term 4

Welcome to Bundaberg Basketballs junior development program 

for 5 – 9 year olds and their families or carers.  

 

Mini Macs is a new program for Bundaberg where young children of all abilities can enjoy:

​

  • skill development

  • enhanced self-esteem

  • social co-operation

  • grass-roots sports participation

 

Put simply, Mini Macs introduces children to basketball in a fun, safe, structured and accredited environment from the beginning through to the elite level. When they join us your child will receive a ball, playing singlet and backpack. Everything they need to hit the court and have fun!

 

Our national coaching curriculum and accessible and inclusive program consists of warm-up games, skill activities and modified games all delivered by accredited coaches.

Fees and registration:

  • New players $100 for 1 x Term (Includes Singlet, ball and bag)

  • Returning players $65 for 1 x Term

TERM 2 to be held on Saturdays 9:00 to 10:00am

WHAT'S GREAT ABOUT MINI-MACS ...

 

Mini Macs provides boys and girls with a fun and safe Basketball experience that serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game. In addition to promoting healthy and active lifestyles, the program serves as a platform for social development and inclusion - fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals.

Children will learn:

  • Fundamental motor skills for future physical activity and sports participation

  • Basics of fitness conditioning, muscle management and well-being

  • Importance of health and nutrition

  • Important physiological and mental skills

  • Respect for others as well as social, team work and cooperation skills

Other benefits include:

  • Contact with coaches, ambassadors, older children and parents provides valuable role modelling

  • Children are exposed to multi-functional environments creating greater self-confidence

  • Physically active children are more attentive, have a more efficient memory and better problem solving skills

  • Children are coached and encouraged by accredited and periodically assessed coaches

  • Children are exposed to the Australian Basketball pathway from Mini Macs through to the elite level
